A little while back, when I was at my dads' for the weekend, we decided to visit my grandmother and take her for a drive. Memere will be 99 this month, a week after I turn 29. The last few years have been rocky for her, but she is still hanging on. My dad is good about visiting her often and taking her out, when she is up for it, to drive through the mountains. On this particular trip, he asked me to snap a few photos of their hands, as he drove with his left and his mother held onto his right with both of hers. It was awkward shooting over her shoulder from the backseat with my little point and shoot, but I managed to get a few nice photos. In honor of her approaching birthday, I decided to share my favorite here. Here's to another year of a long and well-lived life.
