Mile High Photographers Lighting Workshop

Back in April, I went to a great workshop in Denver that was put together by the Mile High Photographers group that I belong to. I learned some cool new tricks and had a great time shooting the models, playing around in the studio, and meeting some new photographers. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

Thanks to Janine Schmenk and Rachael Peffer  for doing the hair and make-up on the models, Tina Gill for doing the wardrobes, and Premier Image Agency  for supplying the fashion models!

Too pretty to eat...almost!

Today I met with Amanda and Rob for the last time before their upcoming wedding. We had planned to meet at 3:00, but their meeting with the caterer ran over and they had to postpone. When they arrived, Amanda handed me a small box of beautiful miniature cupcakes as an apology for being late!
We talked for a while about location options for the wedding portraits, as well as alternatives in case of rain. I'm excited to be working with such a fun couple! They both agreed they are willing to play in the rain, as long as we bring umbrellas, and we came up with several creative shooting ideas. The wedding is three weeks away, and I look forward to it almost as much as they do, I'm sure! Working with great people like Amanda and Rob is a large part of why I love what I do. I'm so happy to be a part of their special day!

Cell phone photo of the day

Out and about in Boulder, braving the wind to get to the post office, and maybe the bookstore. Beautiful sunshine but the wind is killer! Someone's mail is scattered all over my neighborhood. Glad it's not mine!
