October Snow Fall
we have already had two noticeable snow storms this month. the first happened the weekend the rockies were competing with the phillies in the nlds baseball play-offs, and it disrupted the game schedule. the second one started on tuesday night, and hasn't let up yet. yesterday afternoon I went for a walk around my neighborhood and got some very interesting, beautiful shots.
it's interesting to see the way the snow looks in contrast to the parts of nature more characteristic of fall, such as these berries and the brightly colored leaves.

Photo Of The Day
I was invited by a friend last night to attend the CU Boulder BFA dance show dress rehearsal. It was a wonderful opportunity to see work by some truly talented young women. More photos of this event will be up soon.

Photo Of The Day
Late last night we had some fun playing with glow sticks. One of them cracked open, and I tried to get photos of a pair of hands covered with the glowing liquid. It must have gotten too diluted when it spilled out, though, because the pictures all came out black. This was taken before the glow stick explosion, while they were still in tact. I got several good shots of the light in motion--it was difficult to choose which one to post, so I decided to use a few of them.

September in Colorado
Fall is officially underway, and last week I decided to go out for a drive and capture some of the beautiful moments the season brings. Having grown up in Vermont, it is hard to impress me with foliage, especially in an area largely populated only with aspens and evergreens, but I managed to find a lot of beauty on my adventure. Here are a few of my favorite images.
